Carole Kell Biography
Carole Jean Kell is a native
Georgian, who grew up in the mountains of North Georgia.
In 1965, she and her late husband, Corky, moved to Cobb
County for him to teach and coach at Wheeler High School. Carole was a stay-at-home mom
for their two children, Kim and Tain. Eventually, she
finished her college education receiving a Bachelor's in English Education from Georgia State University
and happily taught English for thirteen years at East Cobb Middle School. During this time, she
received a degree from West Georgia
University in
Administration and Supervision and another in Educational Leadership and
Supervision from The University of
Georgia. She moved to Dodgen
Middle School for five years as the Assistant
Principal and then went to Dickerson
Middle School for eleven
as the Principal. She completed her career as principal at Hightower Trail Middle School
and retired in 1999 to enjoy her grandchildren.
Carole is involved actively
in many committees and
organizations, which include the Cobb/Douglas Community Services Board, the
Cobb/Douglas Board of Health, Cobb YMCA Board of Directors, Cobb YMCA Executive
Board, Cobb Chamber of Commerce
Business Education Steering Committee,
Community Bank of the South Advisory
Board, Cancer Program Community
Advisory Council (Chair), and the Carlton J. (Corky) Kell Teacher Scholarship Committee (Chair).
She is also a member of The Cobb Republican Women
and Johnson Ferry Baptist
Church.
In addition, Carole is an
avid Georgia Bulldawg fan!
