Tim Lee was elected Chairman of the Board of Commissioners in July 2010. He was first elected to office in November 2002 serving the residents of northeast Cobb as District Three Commissioner until April 2010.
Lee was selected in May 2009 as one of 25 commissioners from
across the nation to participate in the County Leadership Institute Program
offered by the National Association of Counties and the Robert F. Wagner
Graduate School of Public Service in
Chairman Lee is a graduate of the Chamber of Commerce’s 2004
Leadership Cobb Class and Honorary Commanders program. He serves on the board
of the North Georgia State Fair and serves the Association of County
Commissioners of
Prior to serving on the Board of Commissioners, Lee was vice president of the Northeast Cobb Homeowners Group and led the organization in 2000. He also served as a director of the East Cobb Civic Association, a board member of the Cobb Civic Coalition and was past president of his neighborhood homeowner’s association for 10 years. In 2002, Lee was appointed as the District 3 citizen member to the board of the Atlanta Regional Commission and served on the Environmental and Land Use Committee.
Lee has worked in advertising and marketing for more than 30
years and owns a marketing consulting firm, Summit View Marketing, Inc. He is a
