I hold a Master of Arts in Psychology from the Georgia School of Professional Psychology. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Georgia since 2000. Currently, I am the Interim Executive Director at the Cobb and Douglas Community Services Boards, part of the Behavioral Health Safety Net for Georgia. My clinical experience has been primarily with adults, with some adolescents.
I am also a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor with the GA LPCA, since the Fall of 2011. I have provided supervision for therapists in training since 2005.
In addition to my experience in behavioral health, I have obtained an Executive MBA from Kennesaw State University.
I have been with the Community Services Boards for my entire career to date, starting as a Houseparent six weeks out of college, in 1992. From there I moved to residential case management, and started on my MA, eventually becoming a Therapist. As time went by, I moved into management, supervising the case management program, then the outpatient clinics and becoming the Agency Clinical Director. In the summer of 2015, I stepped into the role of Executive Director. I provided supervision for LPC within the agency from 2005 – 2015. In the past three years, I have offered a series of CE trainings on supervision.
I have also run two businesses, one to develop an online computer game and the other to modify high-end paint ball markers.
I am married to my college sweetheart Linda, and I have two children, Gil and Ann Marie.
