Child and Adolescents
Cobb/Douglas County CSB is pleased to offer
a program for children and adolescents called Next Steps. The Next
Steps
program provides a comprehensive array of mental health and substance
abuse services for children and adolescents.
Services are child centered and family focused with an emphasis
on individualized and accessible treatment for young
people and their families. We accept Medicaid, PeachCare, or other
Insurance and can also make other financial arrangements using a
self-pay sliding fee scale. For services, call 770-422-0202 and
ask for NEXT STEPS.
In order to meet the needs of the young people we serve, Next Steps
utilizes an interdisciplinary team comprised of child and adolescent
psychiatrists and more than 50 experienced counselors, social workers,
psychologists, nurses and community support workers. After a thorough
evaluation, a child or adolescent may receive services at multiple
locations in the two county area.
The Cobb/Douglas CSB also offers the Youth Offender
Re-entry Program (YORP) that addresses the needs of sentenced substance-abusing
juveniles who are returning from incarceration through assessment,
transition planning, systems coordination, treatment and follow-up.
Funding for this program is provided by SAMHSA.
