Ordering Staff on MICP Service Detail Screen

The Ordering Staff requested in the Service Detail section of the MICP is actually referring to the licensed staff who can sign the actual service orders. If a medical or nursing service is requested, the ordering staff must be the MD or APRN. The same is true for the new SA Intensive Outpatient Bundle and the Stabilization Unit. These require a MD or APRN order.
The mistake some staff members make is to put their own names in this slot. Unless you are fully licensed and are requesting only services that you can legally order, please do not enter your name as the ordering staff.
