March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month

  • Approximately 4.6 million Americans are living with intellectual or developmental disabilitiesCSB Logo
  • Over 145,000 Georgian adults have some form of intellectual or developmental disability
  • Georgia House Bill 768 is passing through the legislative process, which allows those living with disabilities to establish a tax-free savings account for essential expenses (education, employment training, medical care, housing, and transportation). Also known as The ABLE Bill (Georgia Achieving a Better Life Experience)
  • During the month of March we strive to mobilize our communities to advocate for those affected by intellectual and developmental disabilities.  We ask that you help us spread the word about the challenges that these individuals face in their daily lives.
