Children in the Mothers Making a Change program enjoyed a special Easter Gala Sunday, complete with new outfits, an egg hunt, Easter Baskets, music and a meal on Sunday. The event, the 8th annual for the Children's Restoration Network, was held Sunday from 2 - 6 p.m. on March 31 on the grounds of the Atlanta Union Mission. Mothers Making a Change (MMAC) in Douglasville is a program of the Douglas County Community Services Board. MMAC offers long-term housing for homeless substance abusing women with children. The sponsors of the Gala provided complete new outfits for each child who will be attending. The outfits arrived the week before Easter, giving the children time to try on the new clothes and gather at the Douglasville location before the big event.
