CSB Receives $655,000 Workforce Development Grant

The Compassionate Communities Workforce Development Initiative in Cobb, Cherokee and Douglas Counties received a $655,000 boost from the U.S. Department of Labor for faith-based initiatives in workforce development. Some 15 to 18 organizations in the three county area with grants ranging from $10,000 to $100,000 to implement, enhance or support existing workforce development activities. Deadline for applications is Aug. 30. The Cobb grant was one of only nine approved out of 120 nationwide.
