Philosophy
It is the philosophy of the Cobb County Community Services Board and
the Douglas County Community Services Board to recruit, retain, and
develop a qualified and productive work force as a provider of high
quality care in the community, and to prescribe the various standards
and conditions of employment reflective of a progressive employer
in the local community .
Employment Policy Statement
It is the policy of the Cobb County Community Services Board and the
Douglas County Community Services Board to assure that recruitment,
employment, assignment, training, benefits, compensation, promotion
and other conditions of employment will be determined solely on the
basis of merit and ability to perform work assignments effectively
without unlawful discrimination on account of race, color, religion,
national origin, sex, age or physical or mental disability. Employees
of the Agency are also subject to the provisions of Title VII of the
Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act,
and the Americans with Disabilities Act which are administered by
the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the Family and Medical
Leave Act administered by the United States Department of Labor.
