Help Is Here

About Us

The Cobb County Community Services Board (CCCSB) is here to help. We are the public safety net for those who face behavioral health challenges and/or who have intellectual/developmental disabilities and are uninsured and underinsured. We provide effective, innovative care and appropriate resources—offering children, adolescents and adults help, healing and hope.

Behavioral Health

Success story… Individuals seeking mental health or substance use services may walk into the BHCC and receive an initial assessment. It provides us with sufficient information in order to better determine the level of care and service that is needed.

Crisis Services

Success story… Our temporary observation unit provides for initial crisis stabilization for up to 23 hours and 59 minutes. This unit attempts to reduce the crisis situation such that within a short period of time, the individual could assume normal activities and return home.

Intellectual / Developmental Disabilities

Success story… If an individual needs care beyond the temporary observation period, he or she may be admitted to our facility for crisis stabilization. The average length of stay is 5-7 days.
